Business conditions for foreign customers

Business conditions are in concord with the legal enactments of The Slovak Republic. 

Methods of ordering

You may order merchandise from our catalogue via our website by using our online shopping cart or sending an email to this address: arkonashop@gmail.com (you may also use our contact form).

If you are ordering via email, do not forget to state the exact name and code of the product you are ordering, along with your contact information (first name, surname, telephone number, full address, postcode, city, and the invoice address if this differs from the delivery address). Without this information we will not be able to process your order.

Methods of payment:

  1.        Bank account transfer (payment in advance)

Shipping fee

This depends on the weight of the ordered merchandise, although it is normally 5-15 euros. We will inform you of the shipping fee via email before sending you the merchandise.

Means of delivery

We send the merchandise through the Slovak postal service in the form of a letter, parcel or letter/parcel “cash on delivery”.

Terms of delivery

We try to process and dispatch orders as soon as possible. The time of dispatch mainly depends on whether the desired merchandise is in stock. If we have to order it, it may take up to 30 days. You will be notified of the exact date of dispatch via email or telephone.

We cannot guarantee that we will always be able to provide you with the desired merchandise. It will not be possible in the case of unexpected changes or difficulties on the supplier’s side or if exclusive merchandise (produced in a fixed amount without the possibility of additional manufacture) sells out and the supplier does not inform us of this.

Guarantee period

For every piece of merchandise offered there is a 24-month guarantee period set down by the law. It starts the moment the customer receives the merchandise.

Personal data protection

The owner of the Internet site www.arkona.sk guarantees personal data protection to all his customers. Personal data is used only for the processing of orders and is not provided to any third parties or institutions, the shipper excluded. This follows law number 428/2002, 90/2005 Z.z.. concerning personal data protection.

arkona.sk is not responsible for:

-          Delayed delivery of merchandise caused by the (post office).

-          Delayed delivery of merchandise caused by the recipient providing an incorrect address.

-          Damage caused by carrier. Do not accept visibly damaged merchandise (damaged packaging etc).

-          The content of  the books, CDs, DVDs and other merchandise officially released by the publisher.

Cancelling an order

If you wish to cancel your order and it has not yet been processed, please contact us as soon as possible (see the section “Contacts”) and state your order number.

We also reserve the right to cancel your order if we are not able to deliver the merchandise because it has sold out or the price has been changed by the publisher. In the latter case we are able to provide you with the merchandise but at the new price. We will inform you immediately by email or telephone if we cancel your order. If you have paid the stated price or a part of it, the money will be returned to the bank account from which you paid within 15 days, or we can negotiate an arrangement agreeable to all parties.

Returns policy

If you wish to return an item, please contact us (see section “Contacts”). The merchandise is to be returned to the address with which we will provide you via email after an agreement has been reached.

After we receive the returned merchandise we will inform you immediately via email and arrange the quickest way of resolving the problem. We will provide a functioning copy in return for a damaged or faulty item or another product of your choice (not to exceed the value of the returned merchandise) or we will refund you your money. The claim will be dealt with as soon as possible, in fewer than 30 days after the date on which we receive the returned merchandise. You will be informed via email or telephone about the result of the claim immediately after a decision concerning the claim’s validity has been reached.
